The section is responsible for designing and developing the necessary software to manage the university and its subsidiary systems, as well as maintaining and continuously updating them to ensure smooth digital workflow, enhance productivity, and deliver distinguished services that meet the aspirations of the university and its system users. Beyond its internal role, the section also contributes to community development by supporting digital transformation efforts outside the university through providing software expertise to other governmental departments, thereby aiding the advancement of automation in the city of Mosul. Main Responsibilities: Assessing the needs of university departments and translating them into effective software solutions. Analyzing, designing, and developing university-specific systems and software. Maintaining and updating existing systems. Organizing workshops, documenting systems, and preparing user-friendly manuals. Ensuring integration among systems and seamless data exchange. Managing servers and technical infrastructure related to the systems. Vision: To lead digital transformation in Iraq by developing advanced software systems at the University of Mosul, contributing to building an integrated digital environment that keeps pace with the latest technological developments locally and globally. Mission: To design, develop, and maintain the university’s software systems, ensuring their efficiency and security, thereby providing outstanding electronic services that support administrative and educational processes and meet the demands of the digital age. Objectives: Achieve comprehensive digital transformation at the university through the development of integrated electronic systems. Ensure the continuous operation and updating of software systems according to the latest standards. Align systems with the requirements of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and university regulations. Enhance integration between different systems to achieve smooth data flow. Provide technical support and training to users to maximize the benefits of the systems. Contribute to raising the level of administrative automation within and beyond the university. Promote digital culture through workshops for system personnel.
