Delivered by Assistant Professor Duaa Idris Younis , the course brought together faculty members and administrative staff from various university colleges. Participants explored the principles of green accounting , examined the challenges facing its application, and discussed its integration with the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development. Special emphasis was placed on how green accounting can contribute to strengthening social peace in communities impacted by climate change, where environmental degradation has intensified economic instability and social tensions. By linking environmental responsibility to peacebuilding, the program underscored the Center’s pivotal role in promoting both ecological sustainability and societal resilience Previous Second Scientific Conference Announcement Next A new training program for Nineveh Governorate employees in pursuit of Sustainable Development Goal 16.
