Officially inaugurated in 1967, the theatre was envisioned as an integrated platform for science, culture, and the arts within the campus. Location and Capacity Constructed on an area of 3,060 square meters and designed according to the modern architectural standards of its time, the theatre was built to accommodate major events. With a seating capacity of 1,200, it remains one of the largest and most significant venues for large-scale gatherings at the University. Academic and Cultural Role The theatre hosts a wide array of events, foremost among them scientific conferences that bring together researchers and academics from diverse disciplines, as well as graduation ceremonies that mark defining milestones in students’ academic lives.
