The department ensures that the results and recommendations of its studies are effectively utilized to inform policy, guide practice, and promote sustainable peace. Core Functions 1. Strategic Research Planning o Develop plans and programs for specialized scientific studies and research in peacebuilding and peaceful coexistence. 2. Research and Analysis o Conduct theoretical, applied, and field studies aligned with development needs. o Examine the impacts of war and terrorism on society through in-depth field investigations. 3. Information Management o Create and maintain specialized databases relevant to the Center’s mandate. o Establish connections with national and international information networks. 4. Knowledge Dissemination o Publish and circulate research findings to relevant institutions and stakeholders. o Promote scientific awareness of peacebuilding through conferences, seminars, and other academic forums. 5. Expert Collaboration and Consultation o Exchange expertise with scholars and specialists from Iraq and abroad. o Provide expert consultations on policies and topics referred to the Center by universities, governmental bodies, and other relevant institutions.
