Historical Background The College of Medicine was established in 1959, laying the foundation stone for the University of Mosul in 1967. Today, the university boasts 24 colleges and 9 specialized research centers that contribute to building knowledge and serving the community. College Structure and Specializations The College of Medicine comprises 11 scientific departments covering all basic and clinical medical specializations, and oversee: 1. Undergraduate studies (General Medicine). 2. Postgraduate studies (Higher Diploma, Master’s, Ph.D., and Iraqi Board). 3. Scientific research in biomedical and public health sciences.
