The unit aims to ensure the continuity, efficiency, and security of technical services provided to the colleges and departments of the University of Mosul, while maintaining system availability and operational stability. Core Tasks and Responsibilities Supervise the operation and maintenance of servers and data storage devices. Monitor server performance and carry out routine maintenance. Manage updates for server operating systems and central storage platforms. Provide technical support for university-wide electronic systems and services. Provision virtual servers for university colleges and departments, and support projects for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Ensure data security and execute regular backup procedures. Continuously improve and optimize IT infrastructure performance. Coordinate with other units to support technological projects and digital transformation initiatives across the university. Vision To be a leading model in delivering high-efficiency and reliable IT services, contributing to the sustainable support of the University of Mosul’s digital infrastructure. Mission To provide advanced and secure technological solutions that meet the needs of the Electronic Computing Center and all university entities, through professional management of an integrated digital infrastructure that supports the strategic goals of the University of Mosul. Objectives Ensure uninterrupted delivery of technical services. Upgrade IT infrastructure in alignment with the latest international standards. Strengthen information security and protect critical data assets. Train and develop skilled technical staff capable of efficiently managing and operating IT systems. Support digital transformation initiatives and enhance the quality of electronic services offered by the university.
