The research was titled: Synthesis of Gold Nanoparticles Using Hordeum vulgare Leaf Extract and their Antibacterial Activity It addressed the development of an eco-friendly biological method for synthesizing gold nanoparticles using extracts of Hordeum vulgare (barley) leaves, along with studying their effectiveness in combating bacteria, especially antibiotic-resistant strains such as Acinetobacter baumannii and Salmonella typhi. The results showed high efficiency of the biologically synthesized nanoparticles in inhibiting bacterial growth compared to conventional methods, in addition to being a safe and promising technique for medical applications, aimed at addressing challenges associated with antibiotic resistance.
