In this laboratory, the responses and adaptations of the body’s different systems resulting from movement performance and physical exertion are studied. The laboratory is located in the Graduate Studies Building. Benefits and Importance of the Physiology Laboratory Conducting physiological tests to evaluate the efficiency of athletes’ functional systems and to accurately determine their levels of physical fitness and performance. Providing a solid research environment for postgraduate students to carry out their studies related to the body’s responses and adaptations to physical effort. Measuring vital variables such as heart rate, blood pressure, and maximal oxygen consumption during physical activity. Contributing to the development of scientific training programs based on physiological principles to ensure the achievement of the best athletic results. Early detection of health problems associated with physical activity and ensuring that sports are practiced in a safe and healthy manner for everyone. Providing scientific consultations to sports clubs and national teams on developing the physical and functional capacities of athletes across various sports. Biomechanics Laboratory The Biomechanics Laboratory is one of the most important scientific laboratories in Colleges of Physical Education. It combines the sciences of physics, mechanics, and biology to analyze human movement. The laboratory aims to understand the laws governing body movement in order to ensure more efficient and safer athletic performance. The laboratory is located in the Graduate Studies Building. It is defined as a specialized laboratory that uses advanced devices and software to analyze sports movements and apply the laws of mechanics to the human body. The laboratory aims to develop technical performance and reduce the risk of injury by studying the forces that influence movement. Benefits and Tasks of the Biomechanics Laboratory Analyzing the technical performance of sports skills using cameras and specialized software to accurately correct athletes’ movement errors. Measuring the mechanical forces acting on joints and muscles to ensure proper distribution of physical loads and prevent injuries. Developing sports techniques to achieve optimal performance that produces maximum speed and power with the least possible physical effort. Providing accurate digital data for postgraduate students regarding kinematic and kinetic variables necessary for completing their scientific research. Testing the efficiency of sports equipment and tools and their suitability to the mechanical and anatomical specifications of the human body during physical activity. Evaluating physical balance and determining the body’s center of gravity in both static and dynamic positions to enhance postural stability in sports. Computer Laboratory There are two laboratories: The first laboratory is located in the College Deanship Building. The second laboratory is located in the Graduate Studies Building. The Computer Laboratory in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences is considered a fundamental pillar of digital transformation. It aims to equip students and researchers with the technical skills necessary to utilize technology in the fields of sports training, scientific research, and organizational management. It is an educational facility equipped with modern computers and specialized software to train students in the use of digital technologies within the sports field. The laboratory aims to enhance the technological competence of both academics and students in line with the requirements of the modern digital era in education. Benefits and Importance of the Computer Laboratory Training postgraduate students to use statistical software to analyze their research data with high accuracy and objectivity. Enabling students to master the skills of preparing scientific research and efficiently using educational platforms and global digital libraries. Introducing students to sports tournament management software and the organization of schedules and results using computer systems and advanced programming technologies. Providing a suitable environment for conducting electronic tests and evaluative examinations that support digital transformation in the educational process within the college. Developing the abilities of lecturers and students in designing presentations and interactive educational tools that support scientific and theoretical lessons. Managing and maintaining databases for athletes and teams, documenting achievements, and electronically archiving all sports activities and events organized by the college.
